What if memory isn’t something we preserve, but something we create in the present tense?

Join writer Lilly Torosyan for a generative writing workshop that invites you to step into the narrative absences—those spaces where ancestry, identity, and language have gone quiet.

This is not about getting it “right.” This is about sensing into what’s missing, inventing what was lost, and queering the borders between language and lineage.

We’ll draw inspiration from Armenian futurists, from our hybrid tongues, and from the deeply personal textures of memory—broken, beautiful, invented, (un)inherited.

No prior writing experience needed. Just bring a notebook, a pen, and your curiosity.
The workshop is free (with a two drink minimum to support the venue).
While rooted in Armenian collective memory, anyone who resonates with these themes is warmly welcome.

Lilly Torosyan is a writer and editor whose work explores memory, identity, language, and the spaces where they fracture or intertwine. She is the editor of The Armenian Weekly and writes about the unseen textures of personal and collective history.
