Afro Cuban Voice Therapy, taught by the master vocalist Melvis Santa, is group singing class that explores rhythms and songs from the folkloric and popular traditions of Cuba. Encompassing both oral traditions and academic methodology, Melvis works in a group setting towards a collective sound, with additional focus on rhythm, harmony and vocal technique. Within a musical and communal environment, this class introduces participants to the art of choral singing and performance. Afro Cuban Voice Therapy is open to any individual that enjoys diaspora culture, music and singing. No experience necessary.
