Synth Garden
we welcome you into synth garden, a space for sonic collaboration, vibrational healing, and live artmaking on October 23rd at POWRPLNT (562 Evergreen Ave).
as we move past this seasonal transition and settle into fall, how can we reflect, listen, and attune ourselves to the many ecosystems we inhabit? Inspired by these relationships, we invite you into a day of sonic activations, blooming, and collaboration with both human and other-than-human friends (plants and synths!)
GARDEN BEDS
Various stations inside the venue that feature a collection of newer and vintage synths and electronic music instruments from Synth Library NYC's library.
BOOK A SLOT
The event is free with an RSVP. In order to manage capacity and foster comfortable collaboration, we are encouraging garden visitors to sign up for a 30-minute slot beforehand to book their time in the space to play with the synths and electronic instruments on the various garden beds.
WORKSHOP
Luisa Pereira, an artist / engineer / musician, will be leading an "Intro to Analog Synthesis" Workshop to open the event.
VOLUNTEER
We are partnering with Bushwick Clean Initiative who will organize a neighborhood cleanup around the space. Supplies (gloves, trashbags, etc) will be included and your RSVP beforehand helps us know how many to bring. We will depart at 5:15 and return in time to catch the final performance, a sonic spirit sound bath by STARR.
FINAL PERFORMANCE
STARR will be leading a sonic spirit bath to close out the event at 6:30.

Expect some special treats from Nuestra Mesa BK.
