Park Theater Hudson proudly presents Seanchaí, a powerful St. Patrick’s Day performance celebrating Irish culture, resistance, and the enduring spirit of community.

Born from the legendary NYC Irish bands Black 47 and Paddy-A-GoGo, Seanchaí fuses punk, hip hop, traditional Irish music, and rebel soul into a sound that is both defiant and danceable. Since 1994, the group has carried forward the belief that culture itself is a frontline — where music, language, and storytelling become acts of pride and resistance.

Led by founding member Chris Byrne, this reborn Seanchaí features the masterful musicianship of Ursula Garry (flute, tin whistle, vocals) and Andrew Harkin (beats, synth). Together, they weave hunger-strike anthems, Fenian pride, uilleann pipes, and modern grooves into a bold, contemporary celebration of Irish identity.

Ar Ais Arís isn’t about looking back — it’s about what endures. It’s a rallying cry and a communal promise: still here, still making noise, still lifting culture high.
