This event is a fundraiser for the summer event series at Coney Island. This includes fires at coney, men's circles and more events to be announced shortly! This event is a fusion of Resonance and Reboot NYC productions coming together to create Gene Berd's dream of bringing the conscious community en-mass to South Brooklyn and the beaches of Coney Island.
Reboot NYC is more than just a dance gathering – it's a mobile sanctuary for mental health and human connection in urban spaces. At its core, it's an all-weather, all-terrain mobile "jukebox" system that transforms public spaces into vibrant communities where people of all ages and backgrounds can dance, play, create, and simply be themselves. Our current outdoor operation is a 3-dj multi-channel experience where participants have a choice of which frequency to groove to.
At Resonance Gathering, we weave breath-work, movement, dance, song, storytelling, circle-work, shared meals, and healing arts into an intimate micro-festival rooted in harmony. This season, we gather on a beach in Coney Island.
What is resonance?
From the latin 'resonare' - to reverberate, to vibrate.
Resonance is the echo of connection;
the way our eyes meet and reflect each other
the way our hearts sync to the rhythm of a shared beat,
the way our voices rise together in song, our bodies unite in dance
and our stories ripple outward, touching lives beyond our own.
You are invited to our May Resonance Gathering.

JESÚS MEDINA (he\her)
is a ceremony facilitator who shares the sacred medicines of cacao and Hapé with heart and intention. His approach is grounded in creating warm, welcoming spaces where people can connect, heal, and remember their relationship with the Earth and spirit. For Jesús, cacao isn’t just a plant—it’s a teacher, a bridge between worlds, and a symbol of love and resilience.
He is a student of Taíno Behike Miguel Sague Jr. and Mexica Elders Yolanda Porcayo and Lupita Lares, and is currently on the path to becoming a Behike himself. Beyond ceremony, Jesús works closely with the Kichwa people of the Ecuadorian Amazon, helping them in their fight against illegal oil drilling and mining. His role involves both advocacy and care—standing in solidarity with Indigenous communities and honoring the wisdom they’ve protected for generations.
HANS AUSTIN (he\him)
a New York City-based music artist, Cacao Facilitator and sound healing practitioner of Haitian descent who carries a significant connection to Mayan spiritual practices.
His dedicated exploration led him to the sacred shores of Lake Atitlán, Guatemala, where he engaged in intensive study and received a profound initiation into the ceremonial use of cacao, a tradition deeply intertwined with the Mayan Calendar, under the guidance of the respected Maya Tz’utujil spiritual leader Nana Marina Cruz.
REBECCA BERGER (she\her)
views yoga as an integral tool for restoring and maintaining balance within the body and mind. In class, she encourages students to move based on intuition and breath, rather than preconceptions of how yoga should look or feel. Her classes explore safe alignment and deep expression.
