The Academy celebrates artful private landscapes in Columbia County and interesting local vendors of crafts, plants, antiques and related merchandise on the lovely Spencertown Green. The self-guided tour of five private gardens will take you to Spencertown, Ghent, Chatham, East Chatham, and Valatie. This year’s destinations are an eclectic mix of gardens reflecting the personal style of each homeowner. Visitors will find several of the landscapes feature spectacular views. Many include vegetable and cutting gardens of varying sizes, stone hardscaping, pools, patios, “outdoor rooms” and a plethora of native perennials, trees and shrubs; something for everyone.
