The 3-day Chris Trinidad Residency's Grand Finale! Chris Trinidad's Chroma Tonic brings together musicians from wildly divergent backgrounds in order to make unique sounds and unusual music. Drawing inspiration from ambient music pioneers Brian Eno and Robert Fripp, the avant-garde progressive rock of Tu-Ner, the adventurous electric jazz experimentation of early 70s Miles Davis, Chris Trinidad's Chroma Tonic blends these explorations with the influences of the members of the group. Alex Heigl plays textured and looped guitars, Cy Thompson brings an array of Afro-Caribbean percussive elements, Scott Oshiro performs on flute and programs the quantum electronic improvised live interactions, while Chris Trinidad holds down the foundation on bass guitar and synth bass. The concluding evening of the residency is also the debut performance of this project.
