Join us at Murlan Farm for a discussion & tour of Veda Farms' proposed holistic wellness farming operations! We're on our way to making history as New Jersey's first legal organic cannabis farm, and we know we are asking the Frelinghuysen community to take a big leap of faith by supporting us. We are a team of regenerative farmers, doctors, entrepreneurs and medicine makers, and we would love to share more about our mission, vision and the historical context around what we're building. We believe our company is here to be a genuine force for good both in our local community and for the field of holistic medicine more broadly, and would love for you to meet our team and tour our proposed farming operations.

Our team sat down with dozens of local residents and listened carefully during public comment sessions, and we hear the community's concerns. We believe that all of your concerns are perfectly valid, and that there are also innovative strategies that can be put in place to address each of them. Our goal is to heal both people as well as the planet with our regeneratively farmed medicinal herbs, and we believe that we can successfully achieve that while also creating a net positive impact on the community with the help of your constructive feedback.

Meet the Veda Farms Team:
Smrita Choubey is the Founder & CEO of Veda Farms, a vertically integrated wellness company rooted in Ayurveda. Smrita started her career in healthcare investment banking, and realized that the American healthcare system had many systemic challenges preventing our society from being happy and healthy. She decided to use the knowledge she gained studying economics at the University of Chicago and getting her MBA at Columbia Business School, along with the healthcare and corporate strategy skills she gained from working at J.P. Morgan and American Express, to start an alternative healthcare company rooted in Ayurveda. She started Veda Farms to grow, research and formulate plant-based alternatives to mass-marketed pharmaceuticals.
Dr. Bhaswati Bhattacharya is the Chief Science Officer of Veda Farms, and is one of the foremost minds in the Ayurveda industry in the US. Dr. Bhaswati is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College, has degrees from Harvard, Columbia and UPenn, and is the world's only Fulbright Scholar to get a PhD in Ayurveda from Banaras Hindu University. With deep experience in the clinical study of Ayurvedic medicine, Dr. Bhaswati will be leading Veda Farms' efforts to grow, formulate and research powerful medicinal botanicals and ground authentic Ayurvedic knowledge in modern clinical science.
