Uncle Shlomo's Family Concert Series with Suzi Shelton's Holiday Show

From award-winning folk musicians to rock-n-rollers, puppeteers and pop stars, this new family concert series is sure to engage, entertain and educate your entire family! Hosted by Brooklyn's own award-winning singer/songwriter Suzi Shelton, this monthly concert series features a diverse array of top notch musicians and performers from around the country who will share their backgrounds and talents with us. Nestled in the heart of Red Hook, Brooklyn, Jalopy Theatre and School of Music is a home for music and music-makers: a multifaceted arts space celebrating traditional folk music through live performances and communal learning. Enjoy a coffee, mimosa or juice box during the show, and then head next door to the Jalopy Tavern for some yummy lunch after the concert. Concerts are approximately one hour in length and geared for families with children 10 and under, however everyone is welcome.

Suzi Shelton has been recognized as a voice in independent family music for more than a decade and as a leading figure in the NYC children's music scene. She has four solo albums under her belt and a popular livestream show called “Sing with Suzi,” connecting families and featuring special guests from around the globe. Suzi is also a founding teaching artist and educator of the Community Through Music school program which exposes young children to American folk and world music while reinforcing inclusion, respect and kindness. Suzi will be celebrating the holiday season with joyful songs of the season along with musicians Jeff Litman and Meitar Forkosh, as well as a host of special guests.  Get ready to shake some jingle bells and sing along!
