TAMBACUM

Tambacum is a traditional and folkloric music group founded in 2020 on the Afro-Pacific coast of Colombia and in the vibrant bohemian neighborhood of Nuquí's Calle de la Virgen. 

Tambacum's performances are acelebration of Nuquí's Afro-Colombian soul, pulsating with the rhythms of Tamborito and Cumbancha. The group's music transcends boundaries, effortlessly weaving generations and traditions into a harmonious symphony of sound and spirit.
 In 2021, Tambacum claimed the coveted first place at the Traditional and Campesino Music Festival, cementing their status as cultural ambassadors of Nuquí. Their involvement in events such as the Flecho Festival, Aguacero Festival, Cumbancha Festival and their role as organizers of the Tamborito Festival underscore their unwavering commitment to preserving and promoting the

cultural heritage of their beloved hometown.

TROPICAL VORTEX is Barbès long-running series showcasing all manners of tropical styles from Latinolandia with live band and DJs playing cumbia, chicha, guaguanco, mambo, plena, Sanjuanitos and other styles of vintage or not so vintage styles. Past artists include Combo Chimbita, Chicha Libre, Los Cumpleaños, Bulla en el Barrio with appearances by Chico Trujillo, Son Rompe Pera, Paito y los Gaiteros de Punta Brava, Ceferina Banquez and many many more.
