The Scene is Now is a New York City-based avant-garde jug band from the 1980s that continues to enjoy a small but rabid cult following. They have been covered by Yo La Tengo, and Thurston Moore once called their sound “drunken sailor music.”

Wire Troop is Jay Sherman-Godfrey on guitar and lead vocals, John Lee on bass, and Tom McCrum on drums and backing vocals. They play second-hand blues, pub rock, Tex Mex, old time rock 'n' roll, R&B instrumentals, garage rock, and country-boogie.

The Human Hearts are the project of Franklin Bruno, a crafter of power pop gems who is, as they say, a songwriter’s songwriter - he has a collaborative project with John Darnielle of The Mountain Goats, and Jenny Toomey, and Calexico have released an entire collection of his songs
