Beareather Reddy and her band, present a multimedia, musical performance that highlights the history and monumental contributions made by women in the world of Blues music. Audience participation is welcomed and truly encouraged.
Beareather Reddy, vocalist / songwriter / actress / producer, radio host; a native of Sylvania, Georgia, received a B.A. from the University of Massachusetts in Performance Arts. She is the producer of the Big Eyed Blues Festival, the Ocean Hill Folk Festival, and has introduced national and international performers to the community. Ms. Reddy is the founder and president of the Brooklyn Blues Society and is a Heritage Ambassador for the Brooklyn Public Library. She considers herself a "Champion for the Blues." She received the "Woman of Distinction Award" in 2016 and was inducted in the New York Blues Hall of Fame.
