Brooklyn's Super Yamba Band takes its cues from 70s/80s West-African Afrobeat and Psychedelic Funk - they look back to artists such as Orchestre Poly-Rythmo, El Rego and Gnonnas all masters of the classic Benin Afro-Funk. Super Yamba also collaborates regularly with legendary African musicians such as 
 singer Leon Ligan-Majek a.k.a. Kaleta. as well as Ismael Kouyate, Daouda Diane and Mamadou Sarr.
