Guitarist and composer Stephen Ulrich is probably better known for his long running instrumental trio Big Lazy. Stephen is also a composer responsible for scoring a number of films and TV series, including Bored to Death and Beijing Taxi. Simultaneously noir and pastoral, gothic and modern, Ulrich's compositions dwell in the unmistakable landscape of gritty yet gracefully crafted American music conjuring images of everything from big sky country to seedy back rooms. Stephen keeps busy by collaborating with a wide array of musicians - from Balkan Beat Box to Mamie Minch, Itamar Ziegler and Jeremiah Lockwood. He will be joined by various guests each week.
This week, with:
Jeremiah Lockwood
(guitar) and Marcus Rojas (tuba)
