Welcome to the 7th session of Sounds of Banaras. This session aims to introduce on Viewcy a child prodigy, a young artist, and one of the senior most artists of Banaras.

#1: Hindustani Classical Vocal - Khyal
Artists: Pranav Shankar

The session begins with a Hindustani classical vocal performance by Pranav Shankar. Pranav presents a traditional rendition of Raag Bhoopali, followed by a Kabir bhajan. Pranav is accompanied by Shri Pankaj Rai (on Tabla), Dr. Pankaj Sharma (on Harmonium), and Ishan Ghosh and Shruti Jha (on Tanpura).  

#2: Hindustani Classical Vocal - Khyal
Artists: Mohit Sahani

The session continues with another Hindustani classical vocal recital by Mohit Sahani, who presents Raag Jog Kauns. Mohit is accompanied by Ashesh Narayan Mishra (on Tabla), Ujjwal Sahani (on Harmonium), and Gopal Sahani (on Tanpura).

#3: Tabla Solo
Artists: Pt. Kishan Ramdohkar

We end the session with a traditional Tabla Solo recital in Teental by one of the senior-most artists of Banaras, Pt. Kishan Ramdohkar. Shri Jamuna Ballabh Gujrati ji provides lehra accompaniment on Harmonium.
