Accordion player and singer songwriter, Susan Hwang brings her favorite local and touring musicians to Barbès and arranges them on plates in the back room for your enjoyment.

Composer  Ralph Denzer from Montreal (trumpet), Tanja Hoehne (cello) and Susan perform new works written by Ralph Denzer for trumpet, cello and accordion.  Susan may also convince them to play a funk number or two.

St. LENOX is an indie pop outfit helmed by Andrew Choi.  Stereogum calls Choi's voice "one of the most striking instruments in music today." St. Lenox's records have appeared on Album of the Year lists at PopMatters, AllMusic and Jersey Beat.

LIANNE SMITH (singer songwriter) "..personifies the definition of cult artist." -- NY Music Daily.  In Lianne's own words, "I write songs about standing in the middle of the road and wondering which way to go, about how others cheat us and how we cheat ourselves, about free-wheeling, bicycle riding, look-ma-no-hands exhilarations, and how it feels to say goodbye to summer."

STANLEY JOHN MITCHELL Is a storyteller, singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who arrived in the US playing in the legendary New Zealand alternate band 'The Drongos'. He has been a touring and recording drummer since the 1980's. His own project is Stanley John Mitchell and his Band of Buddies based out of Brooklyn.

DAVID JOSEPH (singer songwriter, band leader, recording artist). "I grew up as a young lad in Malverne, NY. Crossed a bridge to live in the city at 16. Had aspirations to become a rockstar. Lost my mind briefly. Traveled the world searching for truth. Lost my mind again (this time for a little longer). Then Hank Williams told me to move to Nashville."
