RUBY CHASE :: Musical Alchemist
With a focus on taking her listeners on a journey, Ruby serves up a unique ritualistic approach to live performance, weaving a broad span of musical flavors ranging from bass to latin, downtempo to house. Blending this range of global dance tracks with her original music, ethereal live vocals and interactive invitations, Ruby’s sets turn the dance floor into a ceremony.

Ruby also utilizes her music as a tool for social impact by teaming up with non profit organizations and unified action initiatives to generate energy around important topics such as homelessness, sustainability, mental health, earth conservation, ancient wisdom, and female empowerment.

 

Her participation in such movements has raised over 25 million dollars to provide solutions for homelessness and has planted over 250,000 trees.

CLARATY :: Sonic Liberator
Claraty is a sonic liberator, who creates portals for sovereign beings to move, alchemize and live the creative lives they came here to live. The daughter of two classical musicians, she has been immersed in the field of sound since birth and is now an acoustic multi-instrumentalist and electronic music producer. 

Her sound is a unique fusion of influences from electronic bass, singer-songwriter, soul, hip-hop, deep house, and sacred medicine music. Her sets are transformative experiences that ignite feelings of heart opening, freedom, truth, bliss, joy, sensuality, deep connection, integration of the shadow and the light, and a profound link to the source of it all.

DJ MORPHONIC :: Catalyzing Transformation
DJ Morphonic is both a name and a purpose. As a name Morphonic is the DJ project of Maurice Legendre, based in Asheville, NC. As a purpose, Morphonic is the mission to catalyze profound transformation in people through a sonic experience & the unrestrained expression of music through dance. Like a butterfly released from its mundane existence as a caterpillar, music can be the chrysalis that gives wings to the dancer and the wind to dance upon.

Morphonic travels across genera’s from the deep vibrations of bass music and the undulating rhythms of world beat, to the fun and funky vintage sounds of swing, soul, blues, jazz and rock remixed into upbeat electronic dance music. Variety is the spice of life! Whether a hard-core electronic dance enthusiast, or new to the world of electronica, Morphonic has something for almost everyone. 

BIRD TRIBE DJ SET :: The Medicine of Music
Officially dubbed Bird Tribe in 2012, this So Cal artist collective draws its musical inspiration from modern and indigenous plant medicine and ceremony traditions. As a founding member of Bird Tribe, David Daniel has just recently expanded the impact of Bird Tribe through offering the Bird Tribe DJ Set as a multi-genre, medicine dance music set. The DJ set carries the intention to facilitate the return of the bird tribes and the collective embodiment of our highest potential as guardians of all life, stewards of the future generations, and co-creators of Heaven on Earth. Genres include medicine music, shamanic & ethereal bass music, tribal trap, Andes-step, and folktronica, among others.

In addition to Bird Tribe, David’s first solo artist project, DEVA RUNA, will release his first album on High Vibe records over the latter half of 2024. He is a multi-instrumentalist, music producer and devotional student of indigenous traditions from North and South America. His music, chanting, facilitation and DJ sets create a prayerful, celebratory, and ecstatic state of connection to Great Mystery.

The Hawk & Hawthorne is a practicing permaculture community & regenerative event venue nestled just north of Asheville, NC. Check out the short video below for a glimpse into the magick.

Set in a retrofitted heritage tobacco barn amidst an expansive valley full of fruit trees, gardens, spring fed ponds & majestic views, The Hawk has been an organic gathering point for the Asheville & Barnardsville community for over 30 years, hosting hundreds of weddings, workshops & intimate live performances.

--> We are a non-alcoholic venue. Buchi Kombucha, Kefir Soda & Homemade Elixirs & food from our garden will be available at the bar. (Cash preferred; venmo/cards OK.)

Our finances work differently than other venues. We are  small, independent and non-alcoholic space, which means we have to charge more for tickets to make our numbers work.

We love producing shows for the community -- and it's financially risky. We value both accessibility for the community and paying our artists & crew what they ask, while caring for the land as well. It's a continuous balancing act.

We reserve discounted spots available for those who need them, including BIPOC & economically disadvantaged groups. 

Conversely, if you are in abundance & can offer extra, there is an optional "GRATUITY" on the ticket page.

A $5 tip is automatically added but can be adjusted up, down or removed. Tips are shared equally amongst the community crew who produce the event. Thank you for helping make this dream work!

We know coming to our shows is an investment, of both your time and money. Here is a rough breakdown of where your money goes when you buy a ticket.

Of a $42 ticket:
$19 goes to the artists
$9 goes to pay our community crew
$9 goes the venue
$2 covers utilities & maintenance
$3 covers credit card & ticketing fees

==> REFUNDS & RESALE: Refunds are not available. If you wish to re-sell, we recommend using the Facebook event page associated with this show. The Hawk also moderates a Telegram group. If you are buying tickets from people online, *please check with us first* to make sure they are genuine. Ticket scammers are becoming increasingly common on social platforms. We will not refund a ticket if you are scammed!
