Rhapsody Duo

The Rhapsody Piano Duo, as Ian and Elektra are collectively known, presents a program of Spanish Rhapsodies and Dances for piano duet. These two musicians and their four hands will be sharing one piano, a feat that can look like elegant choreography one moment and like a dueling fight over territory the next! The program centers around lyrical and impressionist music inspired by Spanish traditional and folk styles, including Spanish Dances by Manuel De Falla and Frederic Chopin, Maurice Ravel’ exotic Rapsodie Espagnole, and music from Georges Bizet’s popular Spanish opera “Carmen”.
