Thu, 24 Apr 2025 (EDT)
07:00PM - 10:00PM
Join us for the second in our new queer singer-songwriter series! We're really excited about this lineup, featuring @stefanweiner, @lydiavonhof and @paleheap.
Stefan Weiner is an NYC-based queer indie folk singer-songwriter. A Top Shelf finalist in NPR’s Tiny Desk Contest 2024, Stefan creates a musical space for people to access a deeper vulnerability. More recently, Stefan has also begun a viral series of bawdy gay folk songs for social media, continuing to put his queerness in the foreground, but now with a little humor too. How Lucky You Are, Stefan’s first full-length album, will be out in May on Better Company Records with singles rolling out through the winter and spring.
Lydia von Hof is a singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist based on Long Island. She has performed as a soloist at Madison Square Garden at a New York Knicks halftime show, The Bitter End in NYC, the Hard Rock Café in Boston, and was the 2016 winner of Long Island’s got talent. Aside from singing folk, rock, jazz, and her originals, she is a classically trained pianist and opera singer, and has performed piano solos at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center, and has performed with the New York Opera Exchange. Her songwriting has won acclaim, as she recently was selected as the winner of the ASCAP Writer’s showcase in the Spring of 2022 at Belmont University. Her production work has recently been showcased in her debut EP, “while I have you here”, co-produced with Samuel Jenkins. Lydia is a Belmont University Songwriting Alumni as of Spring 2023, and recently was signed to unispan records as of 2024.
paleheap is the songwriting vessel of Kingston-based artist Leah Pape. They pair quippy, emotionally raw lyrics with the driving edge of rhythmic electric guitar, creating a sound that is evocative of 90s artists such as The Breeders, and Pavement. When not gigging across the Hudson Valley, they conduct workshops on processing trauma through song.
paleheap is music you can cry to and dance to. New album out June 27 2025.
