07:00PM - 07:30PM
Join us for the first in our new Queer Singer-Songwriter series, on Thursday, February 27th, starting at 7:30PM. We're really excited about this one and we hope you'll come sing with us too. :)
Meg Toohey has co-written with some of the greatest living songwriters (Sara Bareilles and Lori Mckenna). Her songs have been featured on countless TV shows and films. As a guitarist, Toohey helped orchestrate “Waitress The Musical” (Broadway) and “Wild About You” (West End, 2024). She produced the star-studded all-female “Jesus Christ Superstar” with Shoshana Bean, Cynthia Erivo and Ledisi. Meg has played for Sara Bareilles, Brandy Clark, Mandy Moore, Jason Mraz, Laura Benanti, Rubben Studdard, Clay Aiken, Gavin Creel, Keala Settle, and may more. She has released 12 albums under various bands and as a solo artist and has a new recording coming in 2025.
Francesca Hoffman is a multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter and event producer based in Kingston, NY. A classically trained flutist and self-taught guitarist, ukulele player and percussionist, she is also a member of Eva Salina's Driftwood choir and the founder and bass drummer of local brass outfit Unicorn Brass Band. In late 2024 she released her first full-length LP, “The Aftermath.” In addition to her musical endeavors, she is the owner of Unicorn Bar, a queer-forward performance venue & bar in the former Beverly Lounge space in Midtown Kingston, NY.
Lisa Pellegrino is a singer songcatcher based out of Newburgh who plays drums, guitar, ukulele, and tenor banjo. Lisa performs out solo as well as with her band Soil & Soul, playing covers and originals that can be described as bluesy folk rock & all the jazz, because lez be real, diversity is the spice of life! Nothing makes Lisa’s heart happier than when everyone’s singing together.
