Open Head / Dari Bay

Open Head is a four piece experimental art rock ensemble hailing from Kingston, NY. With a taste for the angular; they assemble sprawling sonic tones into cuts and jabs as a means of exploration. Pulling from the vein of new york no-wave Disco/Dance Phenomena (James Chance & The Contortions, Bush Tetras), movement finds a home inside the cathartic instrumentation of this wildly experimental unit.

Their debut album “Joy, and Other Sufferings” released earlier this year in February via I’m Into Life Records, an emerging Los Angeles label. Hailed by Post Trash as “...one of the most exciting guitar bands to come around in years, the stateside answer to Canada’s Blessed or the UK’s Black Midi.” it’s evident that this four piece ensemble is carving a path of their own.
