NINE POUND HAMMER is Mike Shapiro, Jennifer Nelson, and Burkhard Bilger. Formed in 2015, they sing tight trio harmonies on Country classics and beguiling originals, with the occasional French cabaret number thrown in. Imagine the Louvin Brothers running into the Andrews Sisters at a roadhouse in southern Alabama. They drink a little too much bourbon and sing until their voices crack. And then Maurice Chevalier walks in.
