Come get dancey to some brass music at Unicorn Bar as part of your Kingston Pride weekend! We've got Funkrust Brass Band in from NYC headlining the night, and the brand spankin' new house band for the bar, Unicorn Brass Band, will get the night started. Dance party to follow. Open to all, allies welcome!

FUNKRUST BRASS BAND:

Funkrust Brass Band is an NYC-based, 20-piece post-apocalyptic disco-punk brass band founded in 2015 that plays all original music with megaphone vocals, heavy tuba bass lines, thundering percussion and searing brass melodies. Their explosive live performances feature full band choreography, signature wasteland/glam uniforms and LED lighting effects. The band mixes post-punk, disco, EDM, metal, and funk with Balkan brass, filtered through the medium of a massive street brass band with a punk rock sensibility.

UNICORN BRASS BAND:
 
Founded in early 2024, Unicorn Brass Band (UBB) is the house band for Unicorn Bar, the recently opened queer forward performance venue & bar in Midtown Kingston, as well as a general fun time party brass band. Performing tunes from New Orleans second line and Balkan brass band traditions as well as contemporary pop songs and original arrangements, UBB will definitely get your feet off the ground!
