Glockabelle's LOVEFEST is a once a year ecstatic celebration of joie de vivre.
Started in 2023 in the Great Western Catskills by Glockabelle and Marcus A DJ, it features world class performers in noise rock, experimental, avant garde, electronic, psychedelia and more.

There will be special glocktails and warm treats.

Bring your fanciest dancing shoes, killer outfits and hungry ears! Bands will start at 5:30.

WOLF EYES  is a band from Michigan that was formed in 1998. They are known for their bizarre and otherworldly approach to music. Creating a sound that is both disturbing and hypnotic. The band has released numerous albums and EPs on various labels. With their intense and bizarre live performances, Wolf Eyes has garnered a reputation as one of the most frightening and weird bands in the world. Wolf Eyes is currently John Olson and Nate Young. They have performed together for over 20 years.

DOOM DOGS  are a genre-free improvising trio of guitarist REEVES GABRELS, bass player JAIR-ROHM PARKER WELLS, and drummer JONATHAN KANE. Gabrels has been The Cure's guitarist since 2012, founded Tin Machine with David Bowie and continued to write, tour and co-produce with Bowie through 1999; Parker Wells, a founder of avant-rock Machine Gun, has been a collaborator with jazz and experimental groups including Embryo and Sun Ra Arkestra; Kane, a founder of the influential band Swans, also worked with Rhys Chatham and La Monte Young and other NYC downtown innovators, and has his own trance-blues band February.

GLOCKABELLE is a virtuoso synthesist, inventor of thimble glockenspiel and  DJ of world rarities, who has shared her brand of anarchic enchantment across the globe. She has composed for the Toronto and Paris Film Festivals and toured with Lightning Bolt, The Go! Team, Mdou Moctar, Quintron, The Space Lady and many more. You will typically see her playing two Casio VL-Tones, a glockenspiel with eight thimbles, singing in French while racing against her 1982 Yamaha drum machine.

ID M THEFTABLE is a composer, improviser and performer active within and without the realms of avant-improvisation, noise, sound poetry, sound art and performance art using extended vocal techniques, found objects, homemade instruments, various electronics, and whatever else is he might happen to find useful in the moment. He has given over a thousand performances across 4 continents in settings ranging from the filthiest of basements to the fanciest of festivals and has over 100 album releases (both solo and collaborative) to his name.

FRENCHY AND THE PUNK  Smashing together electro-acoustic hybrid guitars, loop pedals, fiery live acoustic and electronic percussion and synths, Frenchy and the Punk create their own distinct blend of post-punk, with elements of darkwave and goth rock.  French-born singer, keyboardist, percussionist, Samantha Stephenson and guitarist Scott Helland (founding member of hardcore punk band Deep Wound whose members J Mascis and Lou Barlow went on to form Dinosaur jr.) draw inspiration from post-punk legends like The Cure, the upbeat energy and percussive textures of Adam and the Ants, the bewitching mystique of Siouxsie and the Banshees, and the quirky charm of The B-52’s. A two person powerhouse of sound they tour extensively year round across the US and Europe.

BUGGER is New Jersey-based experimental musician Michael Melchiondo. When not playing his wearable no-input mixer, he writes psychedelic songs that decay in irradiated noise-scapes.

LUMBEROB is Rob Erickson. He is the founder of ADULT RODEO, the last band signed to Shimmy-Disc in the 1990's. He is an experimental theater scholar whose work nimbly blurs the lines between performance art music video dance glitch poetry and bounce fancy workout via Lumberobics and Dada Ska. Rob teaches in Harlem and lives in Brooklyn.

MARCUS A DJ is a music selector and live music event producer based in the western catskills. He has produced numerous live musical events as part of and independent of the BUSHEL Collective, including Glockabelle's LoveFest 2023. MADJ is also a pioneer of the electronic banjo.

DANI DERKS is part of the day-to-day operations at monome in upstate NY and a member of the extended universe of whimsical raps -- dani assembles instruments and creates documentation for ways to engage with them. Their personal projects are centered on coding through improvisation, creating their own environments for playful and exploratory music performance gestures.

JESS FROM EVERYTHING NICE Music industry veteran Jessica Clark is (among other things) a DJ, and the owner of Everything Nice in Ellenville, NY, which specializes in vinyl & books, as well as providing a space for creativity, dialogue, and discovery.
