Don't Look Back

Our series would not be complete without the work of D.A. Pennebaker, the master documentarian who pioneered the observational “direct cinema” movement of the early 60s. In his first of many collaborations with musician Bob Dylan, Pennebaker sets his lens on the musician’s 1965 UK concert tour and the surrounding social upheaval. Capturing him as candidly on-stage and he does off, Don’t Look Back is a uniquely unfiltered look at Bob Dylan’s artistry and outlook.
