Citizens Jazz with Caroline Chung

Caroline Chung is an upright/electric jazz bassist, bandleader, songwriter & producer based in Oakland.

She has been performing & gigging with her jazz collective Citizens Jazz - a rotation of Bay Area’s best veteran & upcoming jazz musicians for many years.

They have headlined at SF Jazz in 2022 and 2023 performing the music of Nina Simone & Women Composers! They also performed at San Jose Jazz Festival in August of 2022 opening for Isaiah Sharkey and Joel Ross. 

Caroline also released her full length album of original music titled Songs Of Haejin featuring Bay Area stars like poet Tongo Eisen-Martin, Javier Santiago, Brandon Farmer & more…
as well as a Tribute to the Great Nina Simone EP. You can see her performing all over the Bay Area!
