Bio Regional Samaúma: Founded by Fernanda Silveira (Cavaquinho), Fabio Oliveira (Percussion) and Vitor Sampaio (Guitar), Regional Samaúma is a Choro ensemble active in New York. inspired by “regionais” such as "Regional do Benedito Lacerda", "Regional do Canhoto" and "Época de Ouro".
For the past year, the Regional Sumaúma has also been leading Barbès' Sunday Clube de choro.

The regional repertoire is comprised of 19th century Choro with works by  Ernesto Narazeth, Chiquinha Gonzaga and Mário Alves as well as twentieth century works by Pixinguinha, Jacob do Bandolim, Altamiro Carrilho, Radamés Gnattali as well as contemporary composers such as Luciana Rabello, Maurício Carrilho, Cristovão Bastos and Aquiles Moraes.
