Bourbon Sprawl plays classic country and none of that modern crap. But alongside heartfelt renditions of classics and deep cuts from Merle, Willie, Waylon and the rest, the Kingston-based quintet nestles their own original songs about liars, cheaters, drunks and more, which have already filled up one album and will soon fill up another.
The Neon Moons are a 5-9 piece country band, depending on who’s available, that was put together with one goal, make people dance. Based in New York’s Hudson Valley, the Neon Moons have been playing honkytonk nights for the last 5 or so years and are set to release their debut album, recorded at Metropolitan Sounds and Basement Floods Records. With half the band hailing from Texas, Louisiana, and California, and the other half from New York and New Hampshire, and Connecticut, The Neon Moons straddle the line between good old country western and east coast blues based jam band. Regardless of how you define them, you’re gonna have a good time.
