Banning Eyre returns to Barbes for his first solo concert in years. Eyre will perform a selection of African guitar pieces, but the show will focus on a new set of original compositions created during the pandemic. These pieces interweave elements from throughout Eyre's 50+ year journey through music, from finger-stye Americana to Zimbabwan mbira guitar, and so much in between. This concert comes in advance of Eyre's recording his first solo album for Lion Songs Records, tentatively titled BEyre Songs Volume 1.
