B. Anantha Raman is a violinist, belonging to the family of musicians, representing the third generation of the V. K. V. Parampara (tradition). He began his initial training in Carnatic Music when he was four years old under the watchful supervision of his grandfather Late Sri V. K. Venkata Ramanujam Iyengar (a renowned Carnatic violinist and a Reader of violin at the Faculty of Performing Arts, Banaras Hindu University in the eighties). He was further trained in Hindustani Music under the able guidance of his father, Prof. V. Balaji (Ex-Dean and Head of the instrumental department, Faculty of Performing Arts, Banaras Hindu University and Established artists in ICCR empanelment). The young artist has actually mastered the art of violin playing in both the North Indian (Hindustanni) as well as the South Indian (Carnatic) style of music. Further to enhance the style of ‘GAYAKI ANG’ in instrumental form of music he began his learning under the tutelage of Prof. Vanamala Parvatkar (professor of Vocal, Banaras Hindu University). 

Anantha Raman is a graded artist of the national radio of India. He finished his Masters in North Indian Classical Music from Indira Kala Sangit Vishwavidyalaya, Khairagarh and master's in visual communication from Madras University. He was a band member of Oxygen -World Fusion Music and has been a part of many productions work in movies and dance.
