Join us on Thursday, July 10th as we welcome F.O.C., Yes Ma'am, & Harrison Basch for a live show at Unicorn! Their blending of alternative, melodic, & rock-inspired sounds will set the stage for a fun night.
FOC is a four-piece post-punk-inspired - synth-pop ensemble based in Kingston, NY. Formed in the summer of 2023, the band's members include Jaf Farkas (Dirt Surfers, El Front), vocals and bass; Kara Eletto, vocals and synths; Ginger Gilliland, vocals and percussion, and CJ DeGennaro (Favourite Sons, Zero Zero, Aspera), guitars, synths, and percussion. Their sound fuses the driving rhythms of ’80s new wave with brooding guitar textures and wistful vocal melodies, evoking a nostalgic yearning for the restless spirit of youth. FOC will be supporting the release of their first self-titled EP for this show.
Yes Ma’am is a three piece shoegaze/alt rock band based in NYC. Their 2 singles “Mouth” and “Milk” are atmospheric and dark, reaping inspiration from bands like Warpaint, Sorry, and Spirit of the Beehive. They’re currently playing locally and plan to release new music and expand their live presence outside New York soon.
Harrison Basch is a songwriter/instrumentalist born and raised in the Hudson Valley, New York. He has performed in several groups, on the west and east coasts, either playing his own songs or drumming for the likes of Emily Ritz, Credit Electric, or The Long Road Society artists. Harrison’s lyricism revolves around love, death, and nature. His music is both soulful heart folk and dark jangly experimental landscapes. His songs reflect the times that we live in and beckon the audience to engage honestly.
